Garden Center Opens

Chris Carpenter, who runs the Beyond the Greenhouse’s garden center located at 490 N. Main St. in Springboro, is looking forward to opening the doors for the 15th season on April 1st. Carpenter says, “Everyone is so excited about the new yellow Knock-Out (tm)roses. We’ve had pink for a couple of years and people love how easy this type of rose is to care for. The new yellow color is going to fly out the door this season.” Beyond the Greenhouse, a boutique style garden center is most known for their extra large mixed plant pots that grace the patios and porches of southern Dayton.

Yellow Rose We have the first-ever Yellow Knock Out(tm) Rose and its flowers are extremely fragrant! The Sunny KnockOut Rose has 3" flower that opens to a golden yellow and gradually fade to a soft cream.

This new hybrid has tremendous vigor and begins blooming in early summer and continues thru late fall. Fall foliage turns stunningburgundy-violet and is capped with orange-red hips for winter interest!

Sunny Knock Out is highly resistant to powdery mildew, blackspot, and even Japanese beetles.

All of the Knock-Out Roses are considered by Rosarians and landscapers to be THE BEST landscape roses of this century!

Beyond the Greenhouse was awarded the Garden of Excellence award at last week’s Dayton Home & Garden Show held at the Dayton Convention Center. When given the award, Owner, Tony Carpenter was proud, he said, “It’s a prestigious award, we put a lot of effort into the booth, we built two sitting areas centered around an outdoor fireplace.” Carpenter hopes that the home show sparks some interest in their landscape construction services. People have to start thinking about it before spring gets here, so they can enjoy it during the spring and summer months. Beyond the Greenhouse offers three levels of landscape service including consultation, design services, and installation.
